‘Hiii! ☆ I am Kombo currently a Sydney based stylist. I am focused on sustainable fashion practises and diversify industry standards on what styling is and how it can be achieved. My main aim is to create looks that people can feel like their most authentic self in. I have helped styled photoshoots, editorials, live performances and music videos with both major and upcoming artist. I also have experience in set design, with my photo research being featured in Vogue Living.

I began as a hairdresser in Newtown in 2014 and finished My apprenticeship at a salon in Darlinghurst. I then started assisting hairstylists for fashion editorials and bridal hairstyling. I went to NIDA (National Institute of Dramatic Arts) to study and complete a Diploma of Specialist Makeup Services in 2020 , which included wig making, Special FX makeup and prosthetics. I have started working on theatre and opera productions, some favourite’s being ‘Hamilton’ at the Lyric Theatre and ‘The Picture of Dorian Gray’ at Sydney Theatre Company. Some other memorable projects I’ve been apart of was styling hair for House Of Silky x Vice; The Blue Print by Reem and Google Pixel x Getty Images (creating stock images using BIPOC models on a phone that could pick up their skin tones). I love what I do and all the incredible people I get to work with and hope to just keep creating into the future.

My name is Hiwet, I have been braiding and styling hair for the last 18 years. I have worked at numerous African salons, specialising in sew-in weave hair extensions and afro braiding. At the end of 2019 I decided to start braiding hair from my home as a side business. By mid-2021, my Instagram page had gained a lot of attention and following from the Black community in Sydney, allowing me to pursue my side hustle as a full-time job. My clientele includes well known models, professional athletes, musicians and artists.

I am a Samoan South Western Sydney based stylist, creative director, movement director and occasional model. Ive styled models, video vixens and ballroom house members. Costume designed for the cast of upcoming Pasifika produced films Before 8am and Polinesia. As well as styled, casted and directed a 21 person ensemble of Sydneys upcoming Pasifika trailblazers for ISLE Magazine. The focus of my work is to put forward BIPOC, especially Pasifika faces at the forefront of fashion and media in Australia. Given BIPOC contribution and influence to these industries, I feel its rightfully so.

My name is Zarah and I am a content creator and activist, and I found my voice championing and advocating for inclusive spaces through my platform ‘Embrace Your Frizzique’. ‘Embrace Your Frizzique’, a digital platform dedicated to empowering and educating people on the diversity of hair and culture which is currently in the developmental stage of producing its very first, hair care line. My skills range from specalising in Curly and Afro hair styling and education, backstage theater work, creative direction and more. Outside of EYF, I work professionally within the content and strategy field in my role as Social Media Coordinator.
